Founding Vision 2017

Finally First was founded in 2019 with a clear vision to empower individuals through self-care, self-love, and self-worth. Our founder, Comelia Walker, recognized a critical need for a supportive platform that fosters personal growth and development.

 

Early Days and First Initiatives 2017-2018

In our early days, we focused on laying the groundwork for our mission. We launched our first mentoring programs and networking events, aimed at connecting individuals with mentors who could guide them through their personal and professional journeys. Our inaugural events were met with enthusiasm and set the stage for our future growth.

 

Expansion and Growth 2018-2019

Over the years, Finally First expanded its reach and impact. By 2019, we had grown our network of mentors and mentees significantly, and our mentorship initiatives began to make a tangible difference in the community. During this period, we introduced new programs focused on leadership development, skills training, and community service.

 

Milestones and Achievements 2020-2022

Our organization achieved several significant milestones during this time. By 2022, we were expanded to Jackson State University, Tougaloo College, Callaway High School, and Nichols Middle School.

 

Recent Developments

In recent years, Finally First has continued to evolve and adapt to the needs of our community. We have embraced digital platforms to broaden our reach, allowing us to connect with individuals and organizations across the globe. Our recent initiative, such as becoming a Non-Profit that services teenagers to adults, has further solidified our role as a leader in promoting self-care, networking, and social action.
